Plié Playschool
What is it?
Play-based learning through movement. As a new mom herself, Ms. Miriam realized the need for preschool students to have a program designed for children who weren't ready or desiring of a traditional preschool program. So she designed a program that would welcome preschool-aged students who would benefit from the free flowing social interaction and emphasis on the arts. During dance breaks, we incorporate sensory play, outdoor excursions, books, and music. Plié Playschool at Mancos Dance is a license-exempt childcare program. Who can attend? We are currently accepting boys and girls ages 2.5-4. Students must be potty trained (special needs students are encouraged to speak with the director about how we may be the best fit for them and how we can best accommodate them). Sample Schedule 9-9:30 Arrival/ Free Play 9:30-10:45 Outdoor Play and Snack 10:45-11:30 Dance/Yoga/Movement Class 11:30-12:30 Sensory Play, Lunch, and Clean Up Facts and Figures- $200/non-refundable registration fee per family, paid annually. This fee covers two pairs of dance shoes, a leotard and tights and/or a shirt and leggings, a backpack for excursions, plus art supplies and musical equipment. Our program runs all year-long. Monthly Auto-Pay Amounts 2 Day Program (T/Th)- $360 3 Day Program (M/W/F)- $540 5 Day Program - $875 Monthly auto-payments are processed on the 1st of each month and will incur a $25 late fee if not paid by the 10th. Payments not received by the 15th will subject the family to dismissal. Discounts: Students and their siblings may take other Mancos Dance classes at a 10% discount. No class Labor Day, Thanksgiving break (1 week) Christmas break (3 weeks for us), Spring Break (1 week), Memorial Day (1 week), or 4th of July Week (1 week). We will also take a 2 week break the first 2 weeks of August. Parents are asked to provide two snacks and lunch for their student. We are currently accepting new registrations for our September 6th start date for the 2022/2023 school year. |
